Program Highlights
2007 - 2008

Provider 50 Services has expanded and is now providing specialized services for young children ages 3 years and older diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum. This program utilizes Applied Behavioral Analysis, Discrete Trial Instruction, and concepts associated with the Analysis of Verbal Behavior.

CIU 20 Resolve Behavioral Health Services has begun a working relationship with Allegheny IU 3 to bring school-based mental health services to the western part of Pennsylvania.

Resolve Behavioral Health Services programming has been awarded a School-Based Behavioral Health grant through PDE/PaTTAN. Ongoing Research and Development is seeking grants to enhance current programming and enable the development of new programs.

The Partial Hospitalization Program has increased the size of the program, adding two new classrooms last school year. There are currently 22 Partial Hospitalization sites at full capacity.

Emotional Support programming has added both individual and group therapy in the classrooms. There have been fewer children needing an increased level of care and there was an increase in the number of students who were able to return to their home school district regular education classrooms. Standardized test scores increased in both Math and Reading in all IU-run ES classrooms in district buildings.

Alternative Education services are now being provided to WINGS for Life.

Colonial Academy was officially dedicated and opened for the first day of school on Monday, August 28, 2006! Capacity was reached by December 2006. The unfinished wing consisting of 4 classrooms was also completed, making additional classrooms available for the 2007-2008 school year.
