Early Intervention Special Olympics (6/4/2009)

On a somewhat cloudy, humid Friday on May 29, 2009, the littlest athletes of CIU 20 Early Intervention classrooms converged on Wind Gap Park.  After an exciting opening ceremony, complete with parade and Olympic oath, the events began.

Many tested their skills with running, rolling, throwing, etc.  Sing along, face painting, canvas painting and the olympic village were also offered to fill out the event.

This event is famous throughout the land, which brought out a big star in the world of Early Intervention:  ELMO!!!

Even the CIU 20 Mascot, Joey, came along to enjoy the day and have some fun!

After the events were over and ribbons were won, hot dogs and fun was had by all - closing our Olympic event!
