Challenge-based activities support treatment through the development of problem-solving skills, increasing appropriate coping skills, and developing self-confidence. These activities promote opportunities for clients to work on increasing trust with peers and staff, appropriate risk-taking, accepting new challenges, and increasing perseverance.
