PA School Based Access Program
The School-Based ACCESS Program allows Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to receive Medicaid reimbursement for IEP medically necessary health-related services provided to students who are eligible for Medical Assistance (MA). This initiative is a cooperative effort between the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Leader Services and Local Education Agencies (LEA’s) throughout the Commonwealth. CIU 20 inputs data, maintains records, and completes billing for ACCESS services for students in CIU 20 operated programs as well as district operated programs.
