DESCRIPTION: Online 3 Credit Course
This course will impact student learning through informing educators what most effective teachers do on a daily basis in the classroom. The integration of what great teachers focus on, and realizing that it is people not programs that determine the quality of a school, and how effectively it is done. This collaboration of beliefs and research-based ideas will lead to increased motivation and engagement in the learning process. By the completion of the course, participants will be able to identify the unique characteristics of 17 things that great teachers do differently, what strategies are available, how to use these strategies to differentiate learning, and how to incorporate them into the classroom according to best practices. This course will benefit students by helping them succeed through high expectations, a positive and safe learning environment, and the use of the best teacher practices.
