Resolve Behavioral Health Services provides services for clients with respect to mental health needs. This is accomplished through a comprehensive continuum support services network which utilizes a collaborative approach in each of its programs.

Special Education collaborates with district personnel, CIU 20 staff, agencies, and parents to provide an array of programs and services across exceptionalities to meet the needs of children. Some of these programs include Life Skills Support, Multidisabilities Support, Emotional Support, Learning Support, Physical Support, Autistic Support, Vision Support, and Hearing Support.

Professional Learning is responsible for establishing, coordinating and maintaining a wide range of regional services, activities, and collaborative programs for the development of effective programs and practices purposed to improve instruction. This goal includes a variety of services such as professional development, advisory meetings, consultations, liaison services with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and other community partners, technical assistance and consortium projects.

Human Resources, in addition to internal employee support, offers the District Emergency Substitute Training Program, research services, and monthly meetings with the Human Resources Directors of our 13 school districts and 3 vocational-technical schools.

Technology Services is organized around two main functions; Educational Technology and Administrative Technology. An overarching function of the Technology Services Department is to provide a leadership role with regard to emerging technology and its impact on education and the functioning of schools.

Business Affairs is responsible for the day to day accounting of funds that are critical to the Intermediate Unit's operation. It also provides consortia services through EBTEP, bidding, and joint purchasing services.

Auxiliary Services primarily consist of two basic initiatives. The first is the administration and provision of the Act 89 program and services to the nonpublic schools in the CIU20 region. The second initiative is the administration and support of programs offered through a Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities consortium grant that serves all the nonpublic schools in Colonial IU 20, Carbon-Lehigh IU 21, Berks County IU14, and Schuylkill County IU 29.

Transportation oversees the transport of special education students to school districts, Intermediate Unit program classrooms, and approved private schools. Portal-to-portal transportation is provided with specialized services and equipment to accommodate the wide array of needs for students with disabilities. Our goal is to provide safe, effective, and economical transportation to meet the IEP needs for every student.
