Overview: 

Participants will learn about executive functioning skills (e.g., task initiation, flexibility, and organization), and the impact deficits in these areas have on students diagnosed with ASD. Evidence-based strategies and techniques for use with students will be covered throughout the session. 

Learner Objectives:

  • Define Executive Functioning and highlight Executive Functioning deficits. 

  • Describe the Executive Functioning Components including intervention studies to support students. 

  • Identify evidence-based techniques to use for initiation, organization, mental flexibility, inhibition, emotional regulation, working memory, planning
