Description: Online 3 Credit Course
21st century learners spend hours on social media platforms, using devices and consuming other forms of digital media. When working online, are the students engaging in good digital citizenship? Are they being respectful to others? Do they know how to cite sources for all types of media? Do they know their digital rights and responsibilities when working online? Teaching digital citizenship is essential to help students collaborate and communicate responsibly and safely. Students must learn that their online actions have consequences and can affect others. This 3-credit online class sets out to define digital citizenship, the role the teacher plays in developing digital citizens and the proper digital etiquette required when working online. By the end of the course, participants will have a plethora of resources to help them develop good digital citizens.

Course Dates: October 12 - November 7, 2020
