The specific challenge for this year encouraged teams of up to 4 students to create a prototype of a new or improved transportation system. A total of 15 teams competed in the Grade 4-5 category, and 12 teams competed in the Grade 6-8 category. Overall, more than 100 students were involved in this year’s event. The top team in each category from the CIU 20 regional competition is invited to the state competition that will take place virtually in May.
