Swatting Summit Held for Region's Schools

In partnership with Carbon Lehigh IU 21, Colonial IU 20 hosted a regional swatting summit with multiple law enforcement agencies and school district officials. Organized by the School Safety & Security Coordinators of CIU 20 (Mr. James Stout) and CLIU 21 (Ms. Ronda Andrulevich), the event featured discussion and strategy sharing about keeping schools and communities safe. Swatting refers to making a prank call to emergency services in an attempt to dispatch a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.
 
Guest speakers included representatives from the PA State Police, PA Center for Safe Schools, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
