On June 10, 2025, Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 hosted its annual Literacy Symposium at DeSales University. This year’s theme, “First Things First: Building a Strong Literacy Foundation for ALL Learners!”, set the tone for a day focused on empowering educators. The event featured keynote speaker Dr. Stephanie Stollar, a literacy advocate with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Stollar is the founder of the Reading Science Academy, an online community where thousands of educators collaborate to enhance classroom outcomes. Attendees participated in a variety of breakout sessions and networking opportunities designed to support improved literacy outcomes for students across the region.
