The student-run café team recently provided beverages and hospitality at several local events, including Representative Zachary Mako’s Disabilities Resource Fair, Representative Joe Emrick’s Senior Fair, and the Nazareth Harvest Festival. At Representative Mako’s event, Colonial IU 20 also hosted a resource table, alongside our Parent Support Team, sharing information about programs, services, and resources available for families and individuals with disabilities.
These experiences offered students valuable opportunities to practice customer service, communication, and job-readiness skills while engaging with members of the community. Each event also gave the public a chance to learn more about the meaningful educational and vocational experiences that Colonial IU 20 provides to help students prepare for life after school.
We’re proud of our Café 71 students and staff for representing Colonial IU 20 with such professionalism, enthusiasm, and community spirit!
