COVID-19 Resources

Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 continues to monitor the global pandemic of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on Northampton, Monroe, and Pike counties. We have implemented our pandemic action plan to ensure the well being of our stakeholders.
Communications from 2022-2023 School Year

Colonial IU 20 has cultivated a variety of resources for member districts, families and the community in the areas of learning, technology, healthcare/wellness, and nutrition.
Colonial IU 20 leadership has implemented our pandemic action plan and continues to virtually meet and provide support to our member districts to ensure continuity of education during this time. Specifically, in the areas of human resources, business procedures, facilities operations, technology services, mental health services, special education services, professional development, and the delivery of online instruction.

Learning Resources
Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 recognizes that a school closure may be challenging for the families of children with special needs. Our CIU 20 classrooms as well as itinerant supports provide our students with daily structure, routine, and support. Creating a daily schedule at home may help families to maintain structure. Additionally, the CIU20 team has compiled resources that can aid families in supporting their children at home. These resources do not introduce new skills or replace instruction delivered by a classroom teacher.
